Here is an article about the Becker Patrol Machete and how it did in some testing conducted a few years back. I have owned three Beckers and none of them failed like this model. I owned the BK9 and the Crewman and they were very durable.

Damn, that is crazy. I've used the shit out of different machetes and never had that happen, something is fishy here.

I have a hatchet to cut the thick stuff or use an aid like the patriot did on our trip to maine. A helper stick. No need to bend the blade 90 degree's. WTF lol. I finally got a new camera so I will post some pictures of mine for the hell of it. I am sure glad I got it out of storage!
