Sorry it took me so long to reply Blaster, I just got back from a 2 month duty stint in Washington.
Hopefully, I will be around a little bit more in the future, but I can't even fully commit to that as I am preparing for an upcoming wedding.
I have been deployed 2 times already, and missed out on my unit being deployed a third time as I chose to recieve my commission as an officer. My first tour was in Afghanistan in 05, i went as an 11b infantryman with the 10th Mountain. I spent most of my time on the 240 Bravo, a crew served weapon that shreds anything in its path, and also on the M2 and other crew served weapons. When apart from my trusty crew served weapon I operated the M249 SAW, if you cant tell by the weapon systems noted, I love the big booms and the high rate of fires that each produces. My second tour was just this last year, with my units deployment being cut short by two months (which I'm not complaining about, seeing the problems that they are facing right now). My second deployment I was attached to a Stryker Brigade out of Ft. Lewis Washington, the last of which just returned home this last month.
I hope that I can bring some knowledge about military weapons and firearms that many people have never utilized nor learned much about to this forum. If anyone has any questions about anything that the military is currently using in the GWoT (Global War on Terror) or just any basic questions about military firearms, I am very qualified to answer them, and If I can't answer them myself, I have many resources available that you do not...
