Just curious if anyone has checked to see how many calories worth of food they have in their BOB. I was going thru my food today and decided to add up the caloric value of all of it. Turns out I only had around 5500 calories. I'm figuring that that is about the bare minimum I'd need for 3 days...more than likely I'd need way more (especially if covering a lot of ground on foot carrying a pack.)

Guess I better get a couple more snickers bars and a few more bags of Jack Links!! bounce

That's cool, at least it's something. I keep meaning to get two cases of the MRE's, I saw them at the show and should have committed to the purchase. I do have some dehydrated hiking food that would be good for two people for two days. We have a dehydrator and only used it a couple times, I have to get back on that.

we should all do a group buy on some #10 cans of Mountain House from Emergency Essentials they run some pretty good sales and there food stores for 20+years. MRE's are only good for 5.

MRE's are much better if you plan on being on the move though. For us stuck at home guys the #10 cans are the way to go IMO.

I'd do the group buy, we could get it before Maine and just have it shipped to Patriots compound.

Sounds like a plan.
