| I just picked up a 200 round battle pack of their 5.56 (M855 I think). Not cheap at a little less that $.50 a round but I have heard good thing about this manufacturer. Anyone have any experiences with it? I was thinking of hanging on to it rather than shoot it as plinking ammo. I may be able to get more if it's any good. | |

| I'm sure I've seen it before but it doesn't sound familiar, I can get all those numbers confused sometimes. Hold onto it if it is brass cased and shoot up the steel for practice. I have a lot of brass .308 and usually just shoot the steel. | |

| Privi Partisan is from europe, I can't remember the country of origin but IIRC it is czech. Great stuff. I do gun shows occasionally and the guy I help out sells it.
We have never had a complaint about it.I personally have sold tens of thousands of rounds in those green battle packs. I always ask people how they like stuff when they buy it and like I said most of them were repeat buyers that were happy with it. They said it Runs great. I have shot some personally but not anything in large quantities.
They have some military contracts in europe IIRC as well. Sometimes my buddy has it for less than .50 a round but he has not been able to get it for some time. Good stuff and brass case is a bonus.
I shoot steel and brass in my colt national match for the last ten years mainly steel. Never any issues, I do prefer brass though since it seems the most accurate and usually is a cleaner burning ammo. Some of that steel crap can get your gun dirty fast.
Buy it cheap and stack it deep! The prices today will seem like a steal in 18 months or so. I don't see ammo going down for a long time. Just one mans opinion. | |

| Thanks for the input guys. I've yet to try the steel cased stuff. I haven't stumbled across it for less than brass, so I just keep buying the brass. I have a good friend who shoots a lot of the brown bear and he hasn't had much trouble with it. I believe the Silver Bear (brass case) is made by Privi and the brown bear (steel) is made by Wolf. As far as future prices, it's anyone's guess right?! I have read on two different sources that the ammo manufacturers are hording right now and around the first of May will release quite a bit of stock. Let's hope that comes true. I could use another 5000 rounds or so | |

| Looks like a Serbian company? I shot some of their .308 ammo about a year ago with no problems. http://www.prvipartizan.com/company.php | |

| I haven't shot it yet. Since it's a sealed "battle pack" I figured I'd keep it set aside to grab and put it in my BOB if need be. I'm a little hesitant to do that since I haven't function fired it in my rifle. I just don't want to open the sealed bag | |

| Maybe you can pick up another one? I can ask my buds if they have a box from a battle pack for you so you can get a feel for how it works with your current battl;e zero..I know privi is new production so you don't have to worry about opening up and finding corroded cases and things like that. One time my buddy bough some surplus .303 Indian or Pakistani ammo and he shook it and it sounded funny. He took a bullet puller yanked the bullet and there was a huge piece of carpet in there,, LOL@!!!!!! | |
