I think that it is too much on that thing, I can see adding a flashlight but not much else. Even without the bipod the Galil is not a light weapon, especially for something in .223. KISS

You have to admit that cheek piece is mint. I want one for mine. I have an action rifle match on june 13. I am deciding between the Galil, Fal, or Socom II on which to bring. The Galil will be cheapest since it is .223.... I have two of the plastic Orlite magazines for the galil and two steel ones. I know the steel ones work great. That is what I used in the Galil video.......There is a spot on the Orlites that I need to shave to get to work. Someone did the sides but the rear of the Orlite magazines gets hung up on the receiver.

All I neede to shave down was the back, above the lip of catch. I took a file and just went on with it and test fit it every few strokes till it was perfect. They fit mint now and shoot great, stiff springs though, I keep four of mine loaded.

Did you get a vest yet for that action shoot, need something to stuff them mags in?

They only use about 3 magazines max on a course, and mostly due to a mandatory magazine change rule. I will be using my leather belt with either some of the pouches you sent me or some of the ones I got from DSA.
