| If you get it for the price you told me which was practically free it would be an easy fix up from the pictures. I would invest in a mig welder and use it as a guinea pig for learning how to weld. That is all gerald did, you know who I mean. He started on an old beat up 66 dump truck cause his bed would leak rocks and sand and learned from there. Then he ended up doing the QP's on his 1972 sky lark and you couldn't see the welds.. Looks like it is very savable but a few more years sitting like that and you will have a basket case..
Those are the same tired the old man used on his blue pick up remember? Looks damn close he said they were 8 plys or maybe even ten ply. They had to warm up in the winter and eventually ended up round just like the old school bus tires we remember from the good old days.. | |

| I heard back from the owner yesterday with a price of $500. I think this is a pretty good price for a CJ-5 with the hard doors and top.
I need to decide in the next week or so if I'm buying it or not since it will probably set me back on some new gear I wanted to buy for this years camping/hunting trip to Maine. It's not that I really need new gear, but I want new gear.
Vintage project for the garage or new toys (knives, axe, boots etc)
Thought? | |
