Eaa Witness to Competitive Edge

Author: Chad Reimer

EAA Firearms, well-known for the EAA Witness, is one of the most popular handgun producers on the market. EAA, or the European American Armory, is importing mainly from Kragujevac, Serbia, where they employ around 1,500 employees. EAA, known in Europe as Zastava Arms, has become synonymous with sporting rifles, shotguns, revolvers, pistols, and a wide range of military specific firearms. Due to Serbia’s political turmoil, military contracts for a wide range of firearms have been keeping the company busy, in addition to the civilian firearms they produce.
The EAA Witness is the one of the most popular EAA firearm, based on the time tested CZ-75 pistol design; the Witness is a statement of European craftsmanship. The EAA Witness comes in a wide range of calibers, but the most popular has been the 10mm, which has superior take down power and has become one of the most popular pistols in competition shooting sports like IDPA and IPSC. The standard Witness pistol is steel designed to help control felt recoil, as well as provide a solid platform.
Despite the popularity, the Witness has been revamped for tactical shooting and concealed carry communities with new features like a lightweight polymer frame, compact versions, and a wide assortment of calibers. Of course the EAA innovations don’t end there, offering tactical Picatinny rails on new pistols being produced, as well as ambidextrous safeties. Designed to accommodate double stack magazines, the Witness gives an edge to competition shooters and law enforcement officers.
Contrary to the name EAA being thrown around with the Witness, Tanfoglio is the maker of the Witness. It is imported with a series of other great firearms by EAA specifically for the US civilian market. There are a wide range of other pistols mainly produced in Serbia, such as the EAA EZ pistol, which have become an instant hit on the shooting scene with their affordable price and high quality production.
One of the best selling points I have found on the EAA Witness is the ability to convert the Witness to 22 long rifle, within a few seconds. EAA has a wide range of package deals, such as a package with the Witness in your desired caliber with a 22 conversion kit, for less than half the price of most competition pistols. During my experience with EAA firearms, I believe the EAA Witness is by far the best buy for an extremely versatile firearm that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, unlike the more commonly used pistols on the competition pistol scene.
I would highly recommend any of the EAA pistol for any competitive shooter, weekend plinker, or firearms collectors because of the nominal price and unmatched precision. During all my experience with EAA I have nothing but praise for their product lines, especially since there is an EAA firearm for every type of firearms enthusiast. In my opinion the EAA firearms are sure to be the prize of collections for the foreseeable future for their high quality, cost effective firearms.
