I saw someone mention these on another forum. I see them for sale quite often in Sportsmans Guide and even CTD for reasonable prices. I think it would be a good idea to have one on hand and a plan to set it up in case of an emergency such as power outage or when the economy crashes even more and I can't afford electric. I do have an ample supply of firewood in my backyard....well the woods anyway.
What would your plans be for heating your home during extended periods of no power?

Are you talking about the pack stoves that are used in wall tents? if so they would be pretty usefull in a permanent type outdoor shelter that has built up walls to retain heat. My backup heating plan is zilch as of now. It is probably one of my weakest preps.
