Radiation Equipment, needed gear or not?

I posted a couple of links in another section on Radiation Meters. What to some you think about owning gear for Radiation such as suits, geiger counters, gas masks etc.

Needed gear? or is is the ulitmate tin foil hat paranoia

I personally would like to have some equipment for radiation protection but have yet to buy any.

It's personally one of the things that I have yet to prep for because it's difficult and expensive to have even a mediocre level of protection for.

It's also on the bottom of my list of threats I think I need to be preped for.

What do you guys think?
