| You are reading on your favorite survival forum and all of a sudden someone posts an alert detailing foreign aircraft dropping paratroopers in remote areas of the Country who are attacking US citizens and destroying important infrastructure, ie dams power stations etc.. You can't believe what you are hearing and check the local news stations which confirm that this is actually happening. You grab your cell phone to call your buddies up to see if they have heard this and as your waiting for the call to go through you look out your window and see the scene below. What would you do? | Assuming I was at home browsing forums I would try and establish com with my out of state family. I would work out a rendezvous point and time(which we should have already).
Second would be to gather weapons and gear and load up the vehicle(s). My BOB/gear and defenses are ready to go. The area we live in is pretty congested and we would have to pick our way out of the area via 4 wheel drive and some creative driving.
Up north is our destination but who knows how things are going to go down. Everyone has a plan in effect but it may not be feasible when it all goes down, just have to be able to adapt and survive.

| I would make contact with friend and family while I was able. Once contact was made an area and time would be picked to meet up. I would then listen to radio and the media to try and find out what is going on.
My next move would be to grab my Rifle and gear and then head to the previously picked location to meet up with friends and family and figure out our next move.
I would also contact the local PD and see if any tyoe of organized defense was being put together.

| I would grab my Bug-Out bag and weapons and try and get the local National Guard on the horn to give them the location of the incoming troops and the direction the plane was flying. (I imagine they would be recieving hundreds of calls)
I would then try and pick something up on HAM or shortwave to find out about any safe areas that I could make my way to.

| it would depend if this happened localy or on the west coast localy i would try to make contact with those that i could ,see what thier plans are but i doudt it would be possible considering that during 9/11 you couldnt get threw to anyone then load up all the gear and head to a already determind location | |

Remember when 9/11 happened and cell services were damn near useless. LAN lines can suffer a smiliar fate. I have been talking for years about planning a rendezvous or worst case scenario with my family. My dad and bro would call me nuts but my mom would go along with it. My immediate family is split up along the east coast pretty much, so a plan A and plan B that everyone stuck by if not in contact would be smart. Roads need to planned out carefully to avoid a number of factors. The list goes on for what should be included in such planning, but all should be involved and in the know. As for our bugout buddies, we should also have some plans as well. Shame on us for not already having so.

| I agree with Kaiser. We should all come up with an outline and once plans are agreed upon it should be put into a binder that everyone can keep with their gear. Where to meet up, CB and FMRS channels to monitor at designated times etc. | |

| We could schedule a time to meet in the chat room, having some ideas already together would make go smoother. | |
