Your main go-to assault weapon

This is your main weapon of choice, you sleep with it, carry it to the outhouse, it never leaves your sight and is always maintained. Why did you choose it and what is your setup? What would you change or add?

I went with the Galil over the AK because of the controls on the Galil are easier to use, although I do miss the 7.62x39 bullet. I would like to update the night sights with some fresh ones and possibly change the gas block out to add the bipod. I like the 35 and 50 rnd mags, the 50's are a bit much for the range but they are factory reliable and look nasty.
