Stevens Model 520 Issues

I bought it, shot 100 rounds of trap and ran great had one miss fire. Now they are more often. I hope a thorough cleaning will do the trick. It was with those 2 inch rounds. They worked great in my mossburg 500. Turned it into a 10 shot heheh

Any update on the misfire issues? I need to take another look at my 520 since it misfires every other round unless I use the "auto trigger" then it fires fine WTF?

I did a complete breakdown on my 520 last night to trouble shoot the issues I have had with it. I completely broke down the bolt and trigger group and degreased them. I then filed and stoned off some burs I found on both the hammer and firing pin. The hammer had a lot of mushroomed metal on it from a hundred years of use! I then greased up all the parts and put it back together.

Hopefully it will function a little smoother now.

I'm going to fire some low brass loads through it tomorrow and see how it functions now.
